In 1995, Giovanni Maciocia formulated 38 formulae for the treatment
of various common complaints (called Three Treasures)
and 26 formulae for the treatment of gynaecological complaints
(called Women's Treasure). These represent the culmination
of Giovanni's 24-years research and clinical experience.

About half of the formulae from the Three Treasures
are variations of classical prescriptions, while the other
half are entirely new, formulated by Giovanni to fill in what
he perceived to be gaps in the existing range of remedies
from China or from the West. The Women's Treasure formulae
are all variations of classical prescriptions with the exception
of one.
